dren's Hospital in Sioux Falls to deliver $1,066 worth of gifts for children spending the holidays in the hospital. The students did a tremendous job organizing, fundrais - ing, selecting gifts, and delivering.
Hendrickson promoted
Ben Hendrickson joined Citizens Alliance Bank in November of 2021 in the Clara City, Minnesota, location as a Credit Analyst in the Credit Department. In that role, he was responsible for spreading financial statements for the Lenders, along with preparing credit presentations and annual reviews on customer relationships. Most recently, he has been a Loan Portfolio Ovcer, where he continued with his current duties in addition to working with the Lenders to manage current customer relationships and perform loan maintenance activities. As he transitions into his new role as Branch Manager/ Loan Ovcer in the Echo, Minnesota, location he will work on developing new loan relationships with area farmers and businesses while helping customers with lines of credit, equipment financing, and farmland and home mortgages.

CherryRoad owner elected to NNA board
Jeremy Gulban, own - er of CherryRoad Media group of newspapers, was elected in October to a two-year term on the board of the National Newspaper Association. Gulban has over the last two years purchased and started newspapers across the nation and now owns more than 70 papers.
CWD hunt offers deer hunters additional harvest opportunities
Minnesota Department of Natural Resources Deer hunters seeking additional opportunities will have the opportunity to harvest deer in a late-season chronic wasting disease management hunt in deer permit area 184 near Bemidji, and also in several deer permit areas in southeastern Minnesota and the south metro area. This late-season hunt is Friday, Dec.

MVALC student elected to leadership role
In the state of Minnesota, there exists a teacher-led organization among alternative school educators called Minnesota Association of Alternative Programs (MAAP). A part of MAAP includes a student focused program called MAAP Stars, in which students from alternative learning programs throughout the state can participate in challenges involving real life scenarios, and work together in leadership roles towards opportunities for refining life skills. The student group additionally works to educate the public, and elected representatives on what alternative education is and why it is important.
