MPCA report: Excessive nutrients impact recreation, fish, and bugs where Redwood, Minnesota rivers meet

A recent study from the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) details excessive levels of algae affecting recreation, and fish and aquatic insect communities in a specific portion of the Redwood River in southwestern Minnesota just before the river enters the Minnesota River.

Area High School band students invited toplay like a Mustang

Southwest Minnesota State University Music Program and Pep Band invite area high school band students to “Play Like a Mustang” on Saturday, October 21, 2023.This annual program allows area high school band students to participate in a collegiate game day experience by rehearsing with the SMSU Pep Band and performing during the football game with the SMSU Mustangs taking on the MSU Moorhead Dragons.Rehearsal begins at 10:00 am in the SMSU Band Room in Fine Arts 135.
