“Eye Can’t Do This” premieres at Pioneer PBS
The short, immersive film experience, "Eye Can't Do This" is the brainchild of Dana Conroy, of the Granite Falls area, who is a video artist that also works at Pi - oneer PBS on the Postcards series. Conroy's film was inspired by her own real life events with a Lasik eye sur - gery gone wrong a couple of years ago.
United Way of SW Minnesota announces Kindness Investment Program Grant
Program (KIP) grant intended to offer small, one-time funding to support a small-scale community-level project, program, or initiative that aligns with the UWSWMN Community Impact Priorities within our service area. The KIP grant is part of the Community Impact funding process awarded through the United Way of Southwest Minnesota. The grants are available for amounts up to $1000 and are open to Nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations, a public school, a unit of government, OR groups that have a fiscal sponsorship agreement with an organization that operates as a 501(c)(3) organization, a public school, or a unit of government.
Lakeview students compete at Skills Fest 2023
Last Friday, more than 300 students from 30 high schools gathered at Ridgewater College in Willmar for Skills Fest 2023. Lakeview students were among those competing in a variety of technical skills with the hopes of being awarded $1,000 scholarships to the school.
