By statute, the opening date for Minnesota’s snowmobile trails is Dec. 1 but most of the state’s trails need more snow before they can be groomed for use, according to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.
A Cowboy Christmas draws a crowd
Lee-Mar Equine Center held their annual Cowboy Christmas event on Saturday, December 3rd. Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus were at the ranch, as was the Grinch and Cindy Lou Who from “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”.There were plenty of photo opportunities for kids and adults alike. There was a hayride outside the barn and around the property with blankets provided on the ride to help keep warm. There were also several tables of crafts for kids to create Christmas art and there were horse rides inside the arena for kids who wanted a turn.

World War I exhibit to open in Clarkfield December 9th
An exhibit that has been making its way around the state will be arriving in Clarkfield on December 9th. The World War I exhibit, titled “Many were called.

Arrow shares heritage with ECS students
David Arrow of Granite Falls visited ECHO Charter School last Tuesday afternoon to share his American Indian heritage in honor of Native American Heritage Month. Arrow said he was honored to do so and returned the honor by singing a new song in honor of those at ECS.
