2nd grade students work as doctors

The second grade Lakeview Doctors arrived for their shifts ready to save lives. They were busy with contraction surgeries, number surgeries, place value x-rays, greater and less than pharmacy sorting, and reading up on some doctor and nurse books to name a few jobs from the day. They were successful in all appointments and completed all of their patient files on time.

Beyond Reason

Trick or Treat The evening is coming when children, and I use that term “children” loosely, will come to my door, dressed in costumes that range from cute to the macabre to the barely there. These little people will hold their bag of candy/loot in front of me, and utter the phrase “Trick or Treat”.

Live Well, Age Wisely:

After my knee surgery, I knew it would be important to create some new routines to have to follow in my time of recovery. One of my favorites was that after work each day, I would crutch into my PT studio (aka the guest bedroom) and turn on Jeopardy to accompany my exercises.

Junior Achievement in Lyon County receives Community Impact Grant

Junior Achievement (JA) in Lyon County has been awarded a community impact grant from the United Way of Southwest Minnesota (UWSWMN) of $4,000. These funds will help purchase resources needed to provide the consistent presence of JA in Lyon County schools with the purpose of inspiring and preparing young people to succeed in the global economy. This work aligns with UWSWMN's financial stability priority area.
