New to Medicare virtual class to be held

Learning what to do when you become eligible for Medicare can seem overwhelming. This class is for people who will be new to Medicare and would like to learn about Medicare Parts A, B, C and D. Topics will include a comprehensive introduction to Medicare including what Medicare covers, supplemental insurance and Part D prescription coverage. During the class you will learn the Medicare enrollment details, how to get the most from your benefits and how to research your Medicare plan options using the Medicare.gov site.

For an Architecture of Preservation – The Case for 1904

It took nearly three years in the early 1960’s to demolish the Beaux-Arts masterpiece that was New York’s Penn Station. One of the greatest architectural works of New York City had fallen into decline and, outside of a few architects, there was little protest over the removal. The optimism of progress shined brighter than the marble columns caked in grime. Nearly immediately, the miscalculation was realized, but by then there was little that could be done. The subsequent outrage over the demolition of this historic structure would be the catalyst for the architectural preservation movement in the United States.
