Lundy honored on retirement from North Star

Cindy Lundy of Cottonwood recently retired from North Star Mutual Insurance Company. At her retirement, she held the position of Senior Claims Representative for the Property/Casualty Claims department. ECHO Charter School Board hears reports on 25th anniversary plans, prom donations

At its April 7 meeting, the ECHO Charter School Board heard how plans were shaping up for the celebration festivities commemorating the school’s 25th anniversary. School business manager Pam Redetzke had information to share about the upcoming events and opportunities to include the community as well as the staff and students at the school for the festivities.

Lakeview 2nd grade class hosts shopping experience

Lakeview Second graders recently set up shop and hosted a shopping experience for their fellow students and school staff. The shops were set up in the second grade classrooms, and students priced inventory and completed employee training prior to the event. The Laker Mall was in full swing on Friday. The employees were ready to work at the book store, candy store, toy store, and restaurant. They were practicing many different math strategies throughout the activity, all the while getting to shop and work. Second grade teacher Erin Geary said, “Students really enjoyed this theme activity and walked away with mastering many skills and many goodies.” Photos Submitted
