Lindstrom family growing generations of homeschooled kids
After a generation of homeschooling their own children on a farm near Wood Lake, Randy and Diane Lindstrom are reaping the rewards of years of their efforts. Their children are homeschooling their children! “We have 15 grandchildren, ranging in age from 13 down to 9 months,” Diane Lindstrom said. “Three families are actively homeschooling their preschool-aged children through grade 6. Our six kids are living in four different states right now. Minnesota. Wisconsin, Colorado and North Dakota. We put a lot of miles on our car!”

Former NFL player who grew up in local area publishes book
Larry Cole grew up on a farm near Hazel Run, attending church with his family at Yellow Medicine Lutheran in Hanley Falls every Sunday, and attending school in Granite Falls. Cole, who now lives in Texas, published a book in November of 2021 about his life experiences, including playing for the NFL.
GOLD College Kick-off Event March 10 at SMSU
