This live, online program will provide up-to-date, research-based information to help optimize your crop management strategies for 2025. Sessions will be held over Zoom, which can be accessed via your computer, phone, or other mobile device, and will run from 9:00 to 10:00 am Wednesdays, January 8 through March 26, 2025.

Pioneer Power elects new officers
Pioneer Power is gearing up for the 50th year of the Pioneer Power Threshing Show in 2025. The annual event is held in Hanley Falls on the grounds of Minnesotaâs Machinery Museum in August. The new officers are (left to right) President Mark Antony, Vice President Curt Anton, Secretary Jeff Strand, Treasurer Shannon Johnson and Registration Coordinator Kim Jeppesen.

Falling temps and wind
The roads have been very slippery at times over the past week or so. I know the slick roadways contributed to many crashes during the long Thanksgiving weekend--including some fatal crashes.

Lyon County Board discusses capital improvement plan
Although a final wish list for Lyon County is still months away from being finalized, the board last week spent some time discussing things that could be included in the next Capital Improvement Plan.County Administrator Loren Stomberg ran off a list of items during last Tuesday’s county board meeting that may or may not be addressed in the coming years.“We’re working with Integrity, looking at some options as far as what to do with the Amiret Shop,” Stomberg said.
