Lakers take on YME in playoff game
The Lakeview girls Varsity Volleyball team traveled to Granite Falls last week to take on YME in the opening of the Section 3A-North playou. The team took a loss, 2-3 in the game. Scoring was as follows: Lakeview (2-20) 25 25 19 24 9 YME (7-16) 23 18 25 26 15
Cross Country team goes to championship
Last week, the Lakeview Boys and Girls Cross Country teams traveled to the Section 3A Championships at Luverne High School. The boys team finished in 11th place with a score of 283, while the girls team took the 16th place spot with a score of 410.
Lakers Football team defeats Canby 47-0
Last week, the Lakers played their last game of the regular season against Canby for a 47-0 victory. Early in the first quarter, Clayton Kosel scored a 19-yard touchdown run, followed by a 74-yard touchdown run. By the end of the first quarter, the score sat at 13-0.
Lakers participate in conference meet
eet The Lakeview boys and girls Cross Country teams traveled last week to the Camden Conference Meet in Granite Falls. Ethan Schwankl took first and set the school record once again for the boys team. For the girls team, Morgan Velde is a top three record holder with her time scored at the meet.

ECHO overcomes staff shortages through creativity
Freelance Journalist ECHO Charter School (ECS) overcame a se- vere stau shortage at the beginning of this school year through creativity that the director says is alike at all schools. “Open positions this fall were plentiful and in the middle and high school, included math, science, English, and History,” Director Helen Blue-Redner said.
Lakers Football team defeats the Eagles
The Lakers defeated the Lac Qui Parle Valley Eagles last week 70-0 bringing the team to 6-1 in the season. .
Lakers Football team defeats YME 47-8
The Lakeview Football team defeated Yellow Medicine East in Granite Falls Friday evening 47-8, bringing the team’s standing to 5-1. Leaders in the game included Clayton Kosel scoring three touchdowns, while Justin Timm pulled in two touchdowns for the team.
