National Weather says a “derecho” produced multiple tornadoes
I think many people across the state of Minnesota are still in disbelief about the weather that hit the state last Thursday. The National Weather says a “derecho” produced “at least six different tornadoes” in eastern North Dakota and western Minnesota last Thursday.
Wind continues to present challenge for Trap Team
Week 4 of the Minnesota State Highschool Clay target league was another interesting week for weather to say the least! Although the temps were better on all 3 days we shot, the wind never seems to let up. So far this season we have had 20 days scheduled to shoot, of those 20 days we have had 4 cancellations, 2 rescheduled days and only 4 that had decent temps with mild winds.
DNR offers tips on how to catch, release fish
Anglers who intend to release any of the fish they catch can boost the chances those fish will survive by following best practices for catch and release. Set the hook quickly to avoid hooking a fish in the stomach or gills.
Boe scores first place titles
Last Monday, the Lakers Golf team competed in the Minneota Invitational at Countryside Golf Club. The Lakers took first place with a score of 321.

Lakeview takes home title at Canby Invitational, TMB Invitational
The Lakeview boys golf team took home a title at the Canby Invitational, taking first place wth a score of 173. Carson Boe took home a first place medal in a three-way tie with a score of 40.
Lakeview TRAP team moves into week three
Week three of the Minnesota State High School Clay Target League finally had some better weather to shoot in and the scores reflected it! 13 students would end the week posting scores in the 40’s for two rounds, the first time this season we have been able to do that.
