Lakeview students have fun with parachutes

DNR seeking conservation officer applicants for 2023 Academy
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is holding a recruiting period, which runs through April 8, for the agency’s CO Prep program, which provides a pathway for people without previous law enforcement experience to become conservation officers. The program is a key part of the DNR Enforcement Division’s effort to create a workforce that more closely resembles the diverse communities it serves.
100 Rural Women announces partnership with the Center of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at SMSU
The nonprofit 100 Rural Women has partnered with the SMSU Center of Innovation and Entrepreneurship to support its work in advancing rural women in Minnesota 100 Rural Women is a statewide non-profit based in northeast Minnesota. Its mission is to serve and support rural women: identify, connect and create relationships, models of networking, leadership, mentorship and civic engagement.

Laker boys take on Dawson-Boyd
Last Thursday, the Lakeview boys basketball team took on Dawson-Boyd at the R/A Facility at Southwest Minnesota State University. The team took a loss in the sections game, 49-62.

Lakeview boys team defeats MACCRAY
On Saturday, the Laker boys basketball team played a Section 3AA-North Playoff game against MAC- CRAY in Montevideo. The team took home a 73-52 victory. Individual statistics from that game were not available at print time.

Laker girls basketball team defeats Dawson-Boyd
The Laker girls basketball team defeated Dawson- Boyd 56-50 in a home game last week. Leaders in that game included Paige Viaene who scored 16 points, while McKenzy Gruenwald added another 11 points to the team total. Scoring from that game follows:
