Senior Grace LaVoy sang with the Minnesota All-State Choir on February 17th in Minneapolis. Graceg auditioned for a place in the choir last February. For the second year in a row, she was invited to sing as a soprano, this year in the SSAA (trebel) choir. This is among the highest honors a high school musician can receive in our State. In August of ‘23, Grace attended a week-long camp where she rehearsed with the choir and their guest conductor, Nicole Thietje. The choir reunited for one final performance in Orchestra Hall in conjunction with the Minnesota Music Educators’ Association Midwinter Clinic in February. Grace has received a number of accolades for her musical accomplishments during high school. In addition to choir, Grace is involved in band, piano, and dance line. Photo by Karen Berg
